While recently exploring the Tiger Hill Forest, I came upon these tubular blue-violet flower buds nestled in a sea of green. Interestingly, these two flower buds were the only two there. A little online research suggests these are gentians (Gentiana species). A wonderful find while walking in the woods. – Sebago, Maine
