What’s a moment in your life that made you feel truly alive?
To feel truly alive, what does that even mean? I suspect if I asked ten different people, I would hear ten different explanations, none of which would be wrong.
I have experienced a few life-altering and life-ending moments; those always leave you feeling truly alive. But those aren’t the moments I think of when asked this question.
I feel truly alive as I’m completing a challenge or a struggle. The moment of putting everything you have, physically, mentally, and spiritually, into the final push, reaching your goal, of accomplishing something which pushed you to your limits and beyond.
I have experienced these moments a few times while hiking, hiking in winter conditions, and completing a brutal 24 hours of cold plunges into the ocean as a fundraiser. All the times I’ve felt truly alive have been amazing experiences, and I hope to keep experiencing them in the years ahead.
