Big Water

The word “Sebago” originates from the Abenaki language. The Abenaki are a Native American tribe living mostly in Maine and Quebec. Sebago generally translates to “great stretch of water. “It resembles the sea, or ‘big water.”

This photo made me think of that meaning right away; there is a lot of water there. With its bay, coves, and inlets, it is impossible to see the entire lake from any one place.
