Experiences and Perspective

Sometimes what the camera sees and what my eye sees are two different views of the same image.  Different in lighting and color, among other factors.  Slight adjustments in an editing program, and still no progress towards how my eyes saw the subject of a particular photo.

In this particular photo, the image in mind from that day is of the clouds above Cadillac Mountain being a bit lighter.  This begs the question, did my eyes view this moment in time differently than the camera, or has my brain, affected by many different experiences and influences, changed the image slightly?

The same can be said about daily life.  Our experiences and influences, both very personalized to each of us, affect how we see the world around us.  Something to think about when we interact with others who have a different perspective of the same world around us.
