A Week Away

Today is the last day of a break, a vacation, a holiday, or whatever word the many different cultures on this earth call it.  Mine was good, with my adult sons in Costa Rica, a place we have never been to, a beautiful place.

Cactuses growing near the Costa Rica’s Pacific coast.

We didn’t rush from one tour to the next; we relaxed and saw a small corner of Costa Rica.  Costa Rica moves at a slower pace than most of us are used to; we embrace it.  We didn’t see as much as we have on other vacations, but what we did see, we looked at more closely and saw more details.

The Brazilian red-cloak plant with Pacific Ocean in the background.

We left relaxed, we left cherishing the time we spent together, and we left appreciating a different place, a different people with a different culture.
