Self Awareness

Sebago Lake on an October evening.

A place to slow down for a few minutes and reflect on the day.

Time to ask, was today’s version of me better than yesterday’s version, not perfect, just better.

Did I learn something new? Did I help someone get through their hardships? Did I take the time to listen and try to understand someone who sees the world differently than I do? Did I do a better job of taking care of myself today than yesterday? Did I succeed in just one of these previous questions?

The biggest question is: am I happy with who I am, and if not, what do I need to do to become the person I want to be?

Luckily for me, I am happy being me. But it is still good to stop and ask yourself every once in a while.

Along the shore of Sebago Lake, Maine.
