During a summer walk in the woods to a secluded pond, I came upon a few Painted Suillis, just off the path.  Living in a pine forest, with pine needles scattered around and over them, the Painted Suillis stood watch.  Also referred to as the painted slipperycap or the red suillis.  

These were a fun discovery to come upon, another reason for the many walks in the woods in my life.
