A photo I took a few weeks ago.  Frost aster, blooming in late summer and staying through late fall. At the same time, some of the leaves have already begun to change color.  

This is on an unnamed stream along a country road in Western Maine.  The type of places where magical scenes wait for you to come by to look at them and capture them in a photo.
