Mushrooms Along A Trail

On a hike of Speckled Mountain in the White Mountains National Forest, I came upon several mushrooms. Today, I’m sharing this photo of one of them, which I believe to be a Brittlegill. However, I’m no fungus expert, so I could be wrong.

I find the brownish-orange color of the Brittlegills to be a nice contrast to the forest’s greens. I enjoy capturing images of fungus in the woods. A few shots, each from a different angle and perspective, allow me to create a photo worthy of a space on a wall.

I hope you enjoy this photo as much as I enjoyed taking it.
