Morning Glow

Driving along the back roads of Western Maine, places to be, but no hurry to be there.  Seeing the soft light of the pending sunrise coming over the horizon.  Enjoying the quiet time of daybreak, no other cars around, and only a few houses with lights inside, it is peaceful.

The magic of the morning comes alive as I come around a bend in the road to see the pond, the reflection.  Not stopping is out of the question; this is a moment to take in, as I know this will not last.

The pond acts like a mirror, reflecting the yellow and orange glow as well as the trees on the far shore. Looking closer, sea smoke slowly moves across the pond. The day is born.
