Otter Cliffs

It stands guard over the shore of the North Atlantic.  Stoic, from the many storms that have battered its rock side face.  Sticking out a bit further than the jagged edge of America all around it.

Many a story it holds.  Those seeking the advantage of climbing its rocky face.  The romantic couple looking for a dramatic view. The Poet looking for inspiration. I look at Otter Cliffs at one point or another in life for those reasons and others.  I also look to Otter Cliffs to be reminded, in a world with so many conveniences, there are still places wild and exposed to the elements.  Places to go to and feel the cold wind brush across my face, telling me I am only mortal.  Places to seek peace in the wild.

Otter Cliff, Acadia National Park.
