A few weeks ago, on a walk through the woods of Western Maine, I came upon this little mushroom, Tricholomopsis rutilans, commonly known as Plums and Custard or Red-haired Agaric, sitting among a field of green.  

Its top creates the image of a bird bath with the raised rim around the top edge.
