Recently, while on a hike in the White Mountains National Forest, I came upon this scene: the remains of a tree in what is now a mixture of a pond like area and a bog. The remains of the tree might cause some people to see decay or death, but I see the remains of a tree pointing towards the sky, while being a platform for new life to grow on.
